Yoko Ozuma, renowned as a painter of Seme-e (erotic “torment” paintings), also worked under the name “Kaname” for his tattoo and bijinga (beautiful women) artworks. Throughout his life, he pursued the ultimate vision of tattooed female beauty, where the extremes of sadism and masochism intersect. Against backdrops of snow, moon, flowers, and blossoms, his bound women appear in strikingly realistic scenes—faces shifting between anguish and ecstasy as they endure the torment.
